Grooming can improve the appearance and overall health of your loyal companion.

It is not just about maintaining the cleanliness of your cat or dog, but it can promote their physical health. Routinely brushing their fur, trimming their nails, and having an occasional bath can positively change the appearance of your loyal companion. We know it’s not always easy to do these tasks on your own which is why we offer professional grooming from our sister clinic at the Cataraqui Pet Centre. Our groomers will create a stress-free and comforting environment for your loyal companion. We use safe products and can easily groom your loyal companion in the style of your choice.

How often should I brush my cat or dog?

Cats are generally good at grooming themselves and it’s usually a sign of illness if they don’t groom properly. With that being said, it’s still recommended that you brush them daily to reduce the amount of hair they swallow, prevent matting and to break up and remove dirt or debris, parasites and dead skin cells. Dogs should also be brushed daily to keep their coat healthy and shiny and so that you can spot any unusual lumps, bumps and even parasites.

What is included in grooming?

When your loyal companion comes in for a grooming session here are the steps we take:

  1. Brushing their coat
  2. Eye and ear cleaning
  3. A bath with special shampoo especially if they have a skin condition
  4. Drying the coat
  5. Trimming using scissor or clippers
  6. Nail trimming
